Thank You Mike for clearing that up. We were wondering why they would have a race on friday but, being the diehards that we are, we were planning to be there. Glad we don't have to be there so early.

The LVMS Website is now updated. It is as Butch and Mike Stated. T-N-T only on Friday 8/29, 4pm-8pm. The secretary notified the website guy and he fixed it pretty quick. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.... Anyone know where to buy the water spray bottles that has the fan attached?

Being the leaders in race track technology, maybe they could enclose the facility and air condition it! Chris.

Oh thats right "It's only dry heat"

I saw that the Vegas web site was changed and the Friday morning race is now gone and just the T-n-T is from 4pm-8pm with the PSCA T-n-T from 8-12pm.

We have found the spray bottles with the fans on top at Wal-mart. We are looking forward to getting back on the track since this is our first race since Denver.

Rich, you looked good with your tribe on the WCF TV broadcast I watched last night.

Rich,
Thanks for the info on the spray bottles. I'm not so sure I'll need them now. Has anyone been wathcing the weather for North Las Vegas? Yahoo Weather shows isolated thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday. I've heard that they roll in in the afternoons...is that true? If it is, hopefully the schedule will roll smoothly. backout

On the NHRA website under the Jr. heading it says that this weekends race at Vegas is the final race for the Division 7 series. What happened to the Oct. 19th race (race #8) at Firebird raceway in Chandler, Az.? I thought the series was the best 5 out of 8.

Wow, good catch. I'm betting that the story is wrong. The Divisional schedule still shows Oct. 19th at Firebird. Firebird's Schedule was last updated Oct. 7th and still shows the event. They even added a special page showing the Weeekend Schedule for Jr's. Go to www.firebirdraceway.com. Click on the black and white Team Firebird Symbol. Scroll to the bottom and click on "Firebird International Raceway Welcomes - NHRA Div. 7 Jr. Divisional Race". Pretty extensive schedule including a big wheel race and an outdoor family movie night. I'll call NHRA in the A.M. and e-mail Mike Rice about the confusion. It's too bad that we have to keep baby sitting this stuff. As parents we have enough on our plates already.

Rich, any chance that chief Runamuck might make it out to Vegas and do an "Anti-Rain Dance"?

Not to sure about Chief Run-a-muck making it out to Vegas. Every time I dance everyone says "STOP" and if I do a rain dance it always rains. It must be that dark cloud that follows me wherever I go.
